A COW!

steer butcher cutsMeat is a costly part of grocery bills and is not readily available for men and women living in addiction houses. Wanner Mennonite Church-Doors Ministry, as an ongoing outreach to Ancora House (6 bed women’s transition home) and Saginaw House (10 bed men’s transition home), has organized a MEAT DRIVE and a “WISH LIST”.

In October, Wanner Mennonite Church in partnership with Seventh Day Adventist Church and Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church (who also worship at our location) collected foods to support the satellite addiction residence programs at Ancora House & Saginaw House, part of “The Bridges Shelter” in Cambridge. The foods collection have now been delivered. Thank you to everyone who generously contributed to the food baskets!

In December, the Wish List was filled and these items were delivered to Ancora/Saginaw Houses.

Feb 14, 2017 a steer will be ready for processing then delivery to the freezers of both Ancora/Saginaw to fill out their grocery supply.
