Advent is waiting. Waiting for Christmas. Waiting for the coming of Jesus. Waiting for – well learning about waiting. In the rush of life – which always seems to be worse at this time of year, the tradition of the church is to slow down, to be in a mode of expectant waiting. To slow down enough that we can look, really see, who we are and who God is and what God is inviting us to participate in. As we walk the road to Bethlehem, as we consider the manger, take time to slow down and look, really look.
